Hey Folks, I'm currently working with a singer songwriter who performs with acoustic guitar. As many do, she uses two on stage--a main guitar (Gibson with a Baggs Anthem) and a second guitar (Blueridge with stock pickup) for DADGAD and as a backup. I'm trying to figure out a simple way for her to have both guitars plugged in and fed through her tuner into one DI (Baggs). The problem is that the Blueridge is WAY louder than the Gibson. I'm thinking that a simple ABY pedal like this Morley ABY pedal could work IF I could modify it to have an attenuator on one channel to bring down the level of the Blueridge to more or less match the Gibson. Am I on the right path here? I've only built two simple pedals to date and a CAPI 26, so I'm still a DIY novice. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? Or is this a bad idea?

Thanks Svart. That all makes sense and I may eventually try this. Meanwhile I did find a little known AB box that in theory solves the problem of levels for two separate acoustic guitars. It was only $40, so if it works it's worth it, even if I upgrade some components. It's an Epiphone AB box--two inputs with individual levels to one output jack. I was going to include a pic but when I click on that option it only asks for a URL--not sure how to upload from my computer on this site. insert code here
