cool control room build, this stuff sounds insane on the vid, never used it, is it really this good?

Doug is so cool. The perfect good night story narrator for audio nerds! I bought the VT7 and two VT4 eq's when I made my mix room 6 yrs ago. I used them all on the 2buss. After a while I realized I wanted less clean eqs, so I sold the VT4s but kept the VT7. It's just what everybody says. Sounds great on everything, when you want clean, effortless and uncolored compression. I also agree w many that says it adds a little sheen.

Hmm. The only thing I really have a problem with in the "control room" build was the use of conventional drop ceiling tiles. They are much too dense to allow much high frequency through, and only marginal at mid frequencies. It would have been a lot better to use perforated panels or simply burlap covered mineral wool panels, which are sold as well.
