Since I'm technically challenged, maybe some of you smart people can help me. I just want to see on a Frequency spectrum what my Helios EQ is doing...I want to see what the bell and Q looks like at certain positions. What and how could I figure that out.

How much are these frequency spectrums being used? And are they being used for single sources, entire mixes and/or both. As much as I'd like to think I can do everything with my ears, if learning this tool will make things better/easier I'd invest the money and time.

I really just wanted to know what the q looked like. I always tend to be really conservative using the eq when tracking - and since I sing in the same room as I record in, I can't use my monitors to listen while someone is singing to really suss out what I'm doing. Since the q gets narrower as you push it, I'm gonna experiment being a little more aggressive in some of my cuts.

For stuff like that I have audio tools on my IPhone and some adaptor cables, can't wait to get an Ipad with a decent screen size !
