Many like it on the 2 buss , kind of like an Aphex Compellor, but a bit more noticeable.
Orban like most ofAprx in the old days was a broadcast Standard, still no some old radio guys who sware by it!
The EQ is the design everybody raves about, but consider Used Compellors sell for around $150-180 before you bite.
Also remember most broadcast stuff was set and forget , the pots might not have moved in 40 years!

I was thinking these were EQs. Any thought on the orban EQs?

I think you'd be better off with lindel eq or some other cheap eq.
