Is there inherent pre-delay in these because they're samples? Feels like there's already pre-delay on them... I think there must be some delay inherent with IRs? Because IMO, it sounds like there's a predelay even when there's not The developer addressed this at Purple Place and said that the pre delays are accurate to the hardware. He gave Plate A1 (no delay) and Ambiance (4 ms delay in one side, 23ms in the other) as examples of this. He said he left it intact because he wanted users who know the behavior of the hardware to have as matched an experience as possible. |

And just to be clear, Wave Alchemy is saying that the Ambiance algorithm on the original hardware at 100% wet and 0 pre-delay will still have the 4ms delay on one channel and 23ms on the other channel, and this was intended to create a more distinct stereo spread from a mono input. |

I could just be crazy…there’s no way I could hear a 4ms delay I don’t think…at least, this to me sounds like more than that.

Damn this reverb is nice. I also picked up their tape plugin which I think is my favorite tape take so far. Just does exactly what I want.
