I would really like to buy an AC15 or 30. …. and a Marshall SV20H I think they’d compliment my TKI mk2 and Princeton 68 to give me the four corners of classic guitar tones. I’d probably just go for a head - I do think the AC is very classy iconic tube amp.

I didn't realize Vox made an AC15 with two speakers. I wonder how that differs from an AC30?

I didn't realize Vox made an AC15 with two speakers. I wonder how that differs from an AC30? In the 90s they offered the AC15 with 2 10" speakers. I wonder if that was the 'traditional' setup for AC15s. AC15s are lower wattage than AC30s and don't have the jumpable inputs.

Makes me miss my old Top Hat amp. Any modern clones pulling off this magic?

I have a 1963 AC30 (non top boost) with silver bells and it is a truly beautiful amp. You plug into it and it's incredibly inspiring because instantly you're like "oh man, it's this record! It's that record!". So many classic tones.
It doesn't love our modern wall power, though and will run hot so I always have it plugged into a brown box, rolled back to 113-115V.

The reason Brian May has 3 backs of AC30s is because of them getting too hot and sounding 'funny' so he (or I assume his tech) swaps between banks, letting one cool while an other bank is being used.
