For me, all round it's 'No One Else Like Me' by the Red Clay Strays. Just looked up the creds and of course Dave Cobb produced it. Ethan Barrette is a mixer I haven't heard of before...hope to see an interview of him online soon sharing some tips.
On another note, not 2024 but I had no idea until now that Fab mixed Zach Bryan's self titled EP (my fav last year)...amazing work!
What's yours (if you had to choose just one)?

Ethan is a great engineer and tech, he moved up to Georgia to set up and work with Dave there. He was at Addiction Studio here in Nashville for a long time. Awesome guy I’m sure he’d answer any questions for you if you message him on Instagram

The Fontaines DC record is pretty undeniable, if you’re into that sort of thing.

I love threads like this. It's meaningful to learn about the productions everyone thinks are great.
Here's my pick. Ezra Collective - No One's Watching Me (feat. Olivia Dean)

Kavey Musgraves - Deeper Well is my #1 album of the year. I think the production on it is just unreal.

I need to listen to this. The mixes on her album Golden Hour sound very vintagey, tape-ish, and thick even though they were ITB.

I’m really enjoying Gillian and Dave’s Woodland since it dropped!

I like the production of: Primal Scream - Come Ahead Paranoid London - Arseholes, Liars, and Electronic Pioneers The Bug - Machine Actress - Statik
Music-wise the best album this year by far is The Cure's new one.
Charlie XCX's album has cool-sounding pop mixes.

Well, I need to stretch the year a month or two. I am still hoping someone might knock this from it's throne for me - but over the past year Rabins RIO is still in it's own stratosphere for me. Considering he released this at 70 is beyond inspiring for me as a producer/player/writer/engineer myself. I suspect I may not find it's equal for sometime.

Great songs so far. Lizzy Mcalpine new album is favorite of mine this year. As well as Sabrina Carpenter’s new album was great too but I love Lizzy’s voice and songwriting so much! Probably Tony berg and few others have produced that album.. admire those guys

Alison Goldfrapp LP (2023, sorry) is still a personal benchmark.
Marie Davidson releases this year, refreshing, too. I miss LFO...
Squarepusher, The Bug... Still at it indeed ! I love Actress, but the last LP, not that much.
Gesaffelstein 3rd LP, very well made IMO.
The Hives came back too ! (2023, sorry)
lol
