On webinar right now. But this Tidbit came up!! It's supposedly on "guitar guitar.com". A UK guitar seller site. More later... Chris

Well, 100 years from now people will be listening to her masterpieces and will certainly have forgotten names like Lennon and McCartney, or so it would seem

It sounds like one of those posts that's designed to enrage everybody and gets them to discover a website they've never heard of.

I get mad at most of those stupid lists. I think it's perfectly fine to put her on a TopWHATEVER list for like songwriters or rockstars, it's harder to argue that given her success. But just because one of the biggest names in music right now can play guitar, doesn't mean they should be under consideration of #TOP guitarist. Pretty silly, lots of things to credit Taylor Swift for. Her guitar playing is not one of them...

Didn't they name that Guitar company after her? I'm waiting for Billie Eyelash's name to be above Swift's now. For Guitar. And above Shimabakuro's for Ukulele. LOL! Chris

I think she might be a major player in inspiring girls to take up the guitar, and that’s pretty great.
But these lists are alway stupid anyway, she’s likely on there because negative attention is perfectly fine if you’re an editorial site selling ads.

It’s like those stoopid talent contests on TV where the most talented singer gets knocked out early on because “they’re not likeable” and the the winner isn’t the most talented just the most popular with the public. Anyway everyone knows at number 8 it’s Nigel Tufnel.

Just to play devils advocate here, I wonder if she actually is a great acoustic rhythm player. Can she lock an acoustic right in a groove and make it feel great? I have no clue but it would be awesome if she could.
I have zero hate or dislike for her, I don’t find the music interesting, but I don’t think her market is towards a 41 year old dude.

She gets alot of valid criticism for indirectly promoting the 20 boysfriends-never settling down-childless life. Not that she's the only one, but she is a huge role model for alot of white girls. It's not a good role model. Music is much for than music, it is influence and we should all care about how it affects our young.

Maybe rephrase "white girls" to female Demographic. For one thing. There has been a general Cultural Shift from Traditional American Family Values towards "Todays". Within Taylor’s (and younger) Generation. * I'm all about individual Freedom. (Within reason) Equal Pay/Equal Work etc. etc... ( 65 Million year old Chessparsaurus here goes back to work) Chris *See Barbie movie for further examples. Now I miss the recent "old days", of Wives/Girlfriends dragging their Guy to Michael Buble' Concerts! LOL!
