The "Gear you regretted selling" thread got me thinking about this.
What gear was stolen from you that you really miss? I'll start.
I lost all this all at one time when my house was burglarized back on March 30, 1981 while I was at band rehearsal. I remember the day because it was the same day Ronald Regan was shot.
1957 Fender P Bass 1 month old Rickenbacker 360 12 string 1963 Fender Jaguar Lawsuit Ibanex 2402 doubleneck serial # 00016 with set necks instead of screw-ons.

Ouch! Did you throw up like I did when u realized it happened? I had a Yamaha BB400 bass, Roland D20 and a Jackson strat ripped out of my garage rehearse space in mid 90’s, bolt cutters and open garage doors leading to mine(town houses), so a random hit

I've been pretty lucky, all of my gear that went missing was either loaned to someone I know, and I don't expect it back. One EQ went out with someone and that person was supposed to sell it to their friend... One guitar was lent to a friend's boyfriend and then they broke up. She and I ran into him once YEARS later and he mentioned feeling bad about not contacting me. I told him to play the guitar and enjoy it. Another 'friend' has my ART Tube mic pre, and he's using it, so I'm fine with that.
I also have several pieces of gear at the studio that belong to others, even though I've had them in my possession for a looooooog time.

Some bastard took my pink Hello Kitty tambourine I had had for almost 15 years. It was a fluke, it just sounded lo-fi good. I’ve ordered a few more that look exactly alike, they all sound like shit in a bad way.
I want my tambourine back… I’m pretty sure I know who took it, they continually deny it. I will have my revenge, in this life or the next.

I've been lucky too (and I'm insured just in case I'm not). Most of the things I lost were small/inexpensive, and because I loaned them to people who never gave them back. Like my Magic 8-ball. But I got another one. I think I've lost several Snarks too!

But I got another one. I think I've lost several Snarks too! I just went to magic-8ball.com/ and asked the Magic 8ball: "Will doubledog ever get his Magic 8ball back?" The reply was: "Outlook not so good".

My bandmate had his 1965 goldtop Les Paul stolen out of our tour van in Brooklyn, along with some lesser gear.
A couple of months later I caught a guy breaking into the van in Memphis. He got away with my laptop because he pulled a knife on me.
I’ve also had a bunch of hand percussion disappear over the years, and about 10,000 capos.

I looked at it as a tuner for a tuner. SW sells Snarks in 10 and 20 packs (or maybe 5 and 10). Everyone knows one never has a Snark for life.

My dear friend (RIP) Eric Carr, gave me one of his original Ludwig Black Beauty snares, from when he was a kid... I loved it, and always offered it to drummers recording at my place. It was one of approx. 20 snares we had available at the time.
After one crazy three day session, which of course, ran overtime which meant we then had a very late load out... So it was a rush, rush, rush.
Anyhow, it wasn't till a few weeks later when I offered the same snare to the next group to try out, that I realized it wasn't where it should be???
GO figure.
I spent hours looking while the band was getting sounds.
It was obvious who took it, but after many unanswered phone calls to him, and the only other band member I had a contact for, my only choice was to drive to the persons house, and get it myself. And this would probably have happened, but I had no idea, where he was...? (Pre computer, internet etc, etc, etc.)
There's more, a entire studio was emptied, while I was away, but that is a thread in itself!

I had a Shure Brothers/Unidyne 545 that I liked a lot. It walked out of the studio at some point and I didn't notice until a few bands later so I didn't know who to confront. Now they're ridiculous money.

Funny because someone left a tambourine (not a hello kitty) in my studio and I called around to the last couple bands and nobody knew who left it and nobody ever contacted me to get it back. It's been a decade and I still use it.

It looked like... "Gear stolen from you that you hated". I got mixed feelings on that 58 I can't find. (Got me using my other Dynamics more) Perhaps it's like that Wife that throws the old T-Shirt out. (Without telling Hubby ) Chris P.S. Now a "Made In USA" Unidyne, a bit different!

I've never heard anything by wonderful things about Mr Carr.
