I bought it. It’s nice. But just like every string library, it always sounds better in the demos.

I think i'm gonna pull the trigger on the pro version as it seems mixer friendly

I think i'm gonna pull the trigger on the pro version as it seems mixer friendly Gonna check in a bit. I think I have the junior version if there is one. Honestly, I found them a little limiting feature wise…but I really don’t use strings a ton.

Spitfire audio, anyone use this? Thoughts? Seems pretty noice I bought it - love it. You gotta do proper string arrangements- it’s not a string pad kinda library. It’s very organic - you can smell the rosin Their “Chamber Strings” are also absolutely stunning. Between the Chamber Strings and AR2 you have pop to rock covered. Film music. No. They’re not cheap libraries but I’m glad I took the leap and bought these two Spitfire libraries.

This is one of the few string libraries I have. It is great, but you have to put some work in to make it believable, as with any library. But this is what I was always looking for (character driven recordings that you can put into non-orchestral/classical situations) - suits my purposes perfectly and does sound great. They give you enough timbral variety that it's only as one note as you make it.
For commercial or production work, I usually just go one by one with each player and then sub-mix it all to a 2-track.
