This seems cool, and very affordable. You could build your own little hardware controller console. intech.studio/discover

I have a couple of these, probably the best controllers I've used, but my exposure is limited. They're not that easy to program, but there are some really great presets you can just drop onto the knobs, faders, or buttons to getting controllin'. I have a tek2 and they have a preset for the endless encoder that makes it act like a mouse click and drag... so I can just hover my mouse curser over any parameter and then turn the endless encoder to adjust the value. It makes using VST/VSTi more like using a hardware synth. Works on DAW faders too. It's like nob, but not as ugly and cumbersome with those switches for horizontal and vertical mouse drags.

Also, I'm seeing that Rocksolid Audio has released a standalone version of their RA Control software which apparently works with any midi controller. That said, I have the Rocksolid Micro 3, and like it a lot. rocksolidaudioltd.com/pages/racontrol

Are the encoders 14 bit resolution? The tech specs don't say, so I'll assume that's a no.

Looks cool but only 60mm faders? Hmm. I'd need 100mm..
