Hi! Does anyone know what kind of console was used at TTG to record Zappa’s Freak Out! and the Velvet Underground & Nico? I found one photo of Hendrix sitting at the controls of a console there… any idea what console this is? Here’s a link to the photo — ibb.co/PZyDS2P

The Spectra Sonics websites says TTG and other studios built custom desks using their modules. The timeline certainly makes sense.

It looks like Spectra Sonics are making clones of their circuits from 1969... but I wonder about the types of circuits from before when Zappa's Freak Out! was recorded.

The trend was still custom, the picture reveals nothing useful to me. I feel like there was a Mix article about this 20-25 years ago.
