The M49 is wonderful that way. Get a close to it and it’s dark and robust. Pull back a bit and it’s forward, but warm. I’ll give these a listen in a little bit.

Both sound really good. I personally like mp3 #2. It's more present.

Thanks guys. First I thought I would go with #1 because it sounded more like a record. #2 sounds more real which is also nice. Both are quite difficult to achieve so I'm happy with either but I will probably go with #2.
Thanks!
Edit** other way around haha... I mixed it with headphones, Heddphones mkII. Need to do some adjustments now that I listened back on speakers though.
Thanks for the input

2. Brighter is better, especially for media work. The first one got wooly in a few places.

I actually thought #1 was the better take.
But either one is beautiful~!

Thanks, I mean if it's a good thing 😁 A few of songs are demos I wrote for a particular episode, I would believe all that aren't recognizable, since when I'm doing covers I usually do well known songs. I really want to do some music on my own but I always get stuck, or feel that I can't follow through because of self doubt. Another reason is that I'm not quite sure what I want to do genre wise. It's really frustrating and makes me want to quit all together. I purchased a few real instruments the last couple of months so we'll see if I follow though

Preferring #2 also. The Inner Geek in me is curious about comparing a 67 cut of this song. Chris P.S. Keep performing/recording. There are many out there, who'll appreciate it.

It’s a good thing for sure. If I had your talents I would write great Scandinavian pop as you guys are the best in the world. It seems obvious to me. Max Martin and his team rule the music world. Most of them were bizarrely heavy metal guitarists that buy a synthesizer. I can see that as an artist it would be difficult to find your sound these days but pop can be Fleetwood Mac or ABBA. It just has to be catchy. Find pretty young female singers and write their songs then shop them. Or indulge yourself on an acoustic guitar and sing your broken heart out. There is no middle ground anymore.

It's maddening, but also means it's a strong line I guess, lol!
