I've been working on a new album kind of quietly over the past year. And I didn't have a proper studio space for my personal stuff, so I converted a little spare bedroom in my dad's house into a control room while we were remodeling his house.
I didn't want to bother anyone so I started looking at Synergy Amp Modules because it's all miniturized versions of real boutique amp designs.
I've tried a bunch out and settled on four modules for the rig (I actually have a fifth that almost made the cut on sale in the classifieds if anyone wants to look).
But I didn't want to mic up cabinets and disturb the peace, so ultimately I settled on running them as analog inserts into a Line 6 Helix where I can run microphone and cabinet I.R.'s and simulations.
I gotta say...I'm impressed. Things sound crazy good. I'm mixing the record now...will post examples soon. Anyone else into the Synergy stuff?
