MOTU M2 - no midi to computer - solutions?

I got a Motu M2 from a friend to use as an audio/Midi interface for an upcoming show. The plan is to setup some sounds in Gig Performer and trigger them via my midi keyboard using the midi interface on the M2. Installed the drivers, and checked for updated firmware (had latest). The audio works just fine and I can get the latency low enough to use. Problem is that te midi doesn't work. If I use an m-audio midisport 2x2, it works just fine. I did open a support ticket, but so far, no response. The M2 midi connection does show in the Gig Performer setup. It just dosn't pass any data to the computer.

I did see a video where someone said that Logitech drivers prevented the M2 midi from working. I don't have any logitech software or hardware on this laptop. Maybe something else is stopping it? Very odd. Fortunately, I can use the midisport as an alternative till this gets resolved. It's just odd that it is even happening.

Anyone have any ideas?
