bgrotto why do you say that? I have no knowledge of them other than watching some tutorials about their software.

bgrotto why do you say that? I have no knowledge of them other than watching some tutorials about their software. They've long been a bit dodgy with respect to valuing their customers and providing value to their customers, and since LANDR has acquired them, they seem particularly delinquent in customer support, upgrade paths, and general fairness. eg - I years ago upgraded from Vogalign to the flagship RV Pro at considerable cost including forfeiting my VA license, at which point they ceased development on their flagship RVP (for literally YEARS) and began adding a bunch of functionality to VA that actually made it much more powerful and useful than RVP. Their flagship product stagnated while they developed the supporting products to a point that they easily surpassed the far more expensive tools in functionality and sonics. They even created a spin-off product (RePitch) that given its feature set should absolutely have been made available to RVP owners (or at the very least, implemented into RVP) but instead failed to even offer a fair cross grade path. Fast forward more recently, and it seems they straight-up lied about Vocalign 5's ARA integration in Pro Tools. Users around the internet have been sharing screenshots of posts from SyncroArts brass and customer support alike promising VA5 would support PT ARA. Instead, VA 6 was released as a (rather expensive) paid upgrade, with virtually no new features beyond a 'dark mode' GUI and a proper implantation (ie - a bug fix) of an existing feature that had simply been broken throughout VA5's existence. They've been wildly inconsistent in their response here, offering some users a 75% off upgrade path, while simply not responding to others. It's been quite a spectacle, tbh. It's a shame, really, because the products (esp Vocalign) are extremely useful, and with even a hint of appreciation for their customers, I think they could easily avoid the extreme bad will they currently face with this latest Vocalign 6 debacle. In short, it's just a poorly managed operation, made worse by its acquisition by a larger audio corp.

I bought Vocalign 5 project, right before v6 came out. They were offering me an "upgrade" for $79 I think (which is about what I paid for the whole thing) and then I noticed that Sweetwater had the upgrade for less (maybe $75). Kinda hilarious. Either way I didn't upgrade because I'm fine with how the current (audiosuite) version works for me.

Now they’ve merged with plugin alliance, who are releasing multiple versions and iterations of the same tools to get 30 more bucks from their customers.

Is there an alternative to Vocalign? Cubase users have peace of mind, everything is integrated but in Reaper or Studio One, nothing convincing

Is there an alternative to Vocalign? Cubase users have peace of mind, everything is integrated but in Reaper or Studio One, nothing convincing If you're ok with manual alignment, Melodyne Studio can show you the waveforms of several tracks, which helps a lot. But for automatic alignment, no, I don't think there's an alternative.

Thanks guys. I'm planning to buy Vocalign 6 Project so if no alternatives, I'll stick with that. Too lazy to align by hand with Melodyne (especially since the Studio version is very expensive). There is a script in Reaper but I find it very bad and it works half the time.

there is another whole thread where I asked the same question several months ago and came to the same conclusion - Vocalign is pretty much the best option right now.
