Hoping one of you guys can help me out. I have a project I’m basically finished with. Opened it up this morning to make like a half dB adjustment on some guitars and all my UADx stuff won’t open. I updated all the plugs, restarted everything and nothing. Anyone ever have this issue? How did you fix it??

check your authentication method (in UA connect) - for example if you are connected to ilok cloud or physical ilok. I always use physical ilok because cloud is flaky.

Yeah checked all that. Still couldn’t get it to work. Ended up just deleting the plugs from my session and putting them back in which worked. Had to try my best to remember settings. So weird. Not a fan of the UA connect thing, but I only have a quad card, and I needed to fit a few more in the session.

Unblock UAD connect. It is spyware. If it cannot constantly phone home, the plugs will not load

Unblock UAD connect. It is spyware. If it cannot constantly phone home, the plugs will not load I don't really buy that. 99% of the time I am running Pro Tools with all my networks disconnected and UADx loads just fine. I have it authorized to my local iLok. Authorize once and done. If you are using the iLok cloud authorization, then you need to always be connected and all bets are off (and hopefully you really know your way around a firewall). btw, UA does have a way to opt in/out of "usage statistics" when you install the UAD and UADx updates. Not saying that completely stops everything, but turning off your internet connection certainly does...

Yeah so it’s on the cloud on my ilok and it won’t let me authorize it on my local ilok for some reason. Maybe it’s too old? Its from like 2018. I’ll have to double check that too.

Mine is the same iLok2 that I bought for Pro Tools 9. I think you have to make the change from UA Connect and not from the iLok login? Or was it the other way around? I got lucky and chose the right answer to begin with so I haven't actually tried to change it.
