I was able to pick the ELAM correctly in the A/B test on each example. It was a little smoother in the 2k to 3k range. It was very minimal. I didn't hear any discernable differences anywhere else. The Circle is a nice mic.
I have a friend with a Lawson L251 and it is a superb mic. I don't know how it would stack up next to an ELAM but who cares. The Circle and Lawson sound very good on their own merits.
