I generally like the RJ stuff. It all comes across as tools made by a working professional to address real world problems, and I dig that very much. No fancy GUIs (though I do find them weirdly handsome and very functional). No gimmicks. Just good, solid dsp that does what it says it does. The new Side Minder plugin is very much in line with this take. It's an excellent widener, with natural sonics (when used within reason) and a nice 'width limiting' mode that prevents weirdness when summing to mono. The UI is really smart and intuitive, and is great for quickly experimenting with the shape and depth of a track; it's an excellent soundstage manipulator. I recommend folks try it. I bought it after about fifteen minutes of fooling around. www.raisingjakestudios.com/sideminder%20series.html
