I have a couple freebies. But I keep looking at Ozone and Rx in particular and think, damn, those would solve a lot of problems.
But, as I am just a humble weekend warrior at this point and can’t write these off, I look at the price and wonder if there are more affordable options that do similar things.
Any and all thought welcome.
Cheers, Geoff

TDR seem to get a lotta love around here for solving problems. Not sure what a bundle looks like with them, but individual plugs seems to be reasonably priced. Full disclosure, got the Molot GE on sale recently but haven’t had a chance to sit with it yet. Thinking on getting Arbiter shortly.

If you're looking for restoration, noise reduction etc check out Acon Digital. the other mark williams turned me on to them, they make great stuff.

Ha. Picked up Arbiter today a couple hours before the sale ended.
Do I need another resonance thingy? I dunno.
Rx has some stuff I could use, the dehum, deroom, declick denoise. stuff. But honestly a whole pile of stuff I would never use.
Wondering if I might be better off with a couple of the MTM plugs being discussed here.
Cheers, Geoff

For me, personally, RX is essential. I mostly do a lot of manual problem solving but Music Rebalance, Spectral DeNoise, DePlosive and some of the other modules I use on occasion. Now that RX is wrapped into Pro Tools with ARA it’s even better. I don’t use anything in Ozone although I haven’t spent a ton of time exploring it.

I would demo the Ozone Advanced software to see its value to you. I think it is worth the summer sale price that I think is ending soon, but I would check out the demo to see what it does for you.

Yeah, RX is my regular problem solver for those kind of things. Doesn’t get used often but always happy it’s there when I need it.

Still pretty clunky in Cubase/Nuendo…

RX Mouth Declick on problem areas that have been split/multed out is a lifesaver. You can also use it on a whole track on light settings but if you have to set it to "kill" for a problem area it's better to keep it to the smallest area possible to prevent the loss of all your articulation and/or artifacts.

I use the RX de-hum and de-noise pretty regularly on guitar amps. ONe time RX was working so hard it made one track delay. It was weird because I had 2 mics on the amp and with RX it sounded like a slapback. I was able to commit the tracks and get my guitar tracks back in sync.

Well, I went and picked up Neutron. Kill me now. Sigh.
