I’m interested in this mostly for ear training, which I think was alluded to in earlier posts?

I’m interested in this mostly for ear training, which I think was alluded to in earlier posts? I’m not sure you could train anyone to actually specifically pick out a frequency above 1khz…I think you could easily hear when a vocal or something has a resonance issue, but I’d still need to sweep to find where it is. It was worth the $10 for just learning how to identify.

I was tempted to buy this today, and I saw I could get EQuivocate for free too. And then I checked my Eventide account and sure enough I already have it - further proof that I don't need another plugin. I can't even remember the plugins I do have. And I don't think I've ever even tried it. I need to see if it's even installed lol.

Just bought it as well as VocalShaper in their last sale.
Useful plugins for work in progress mixes - quick and sound good.

Do I really need it? eh? who knows, but I buy it anyway. I go to install it and find that I already have it. doh!

I mean if it’s like $16…who cares?
I hope this doesn’t end up being one of those things I think I’m helping my mix with but actually hurting it…but I’m starting to use Deres FIRST on tracks. I’ll just start cleaning up something like an acoustic. Finding 3-5 resonances and using deres to clean them up…then I commit the instances of Deres. When I toggle back and forth with the several instances of Deres on and off - I’ve thought 100% of the time, the Deres instances solve a ton of EQ issues. Just a ton.

Definitely have to hit the "dim" switch on the monitors when using the "listen" function. OUCH!
