starting Friday apparently. Said 50% off. I can't find anything that sounds as good on bass as the "Bass Beef" preset in Reid Shippen's artist thingy...I can get close with plugs, but man - it just makes it sound like a record.

Love this thing. I’m also a liiiittle biased because I have a pack coming out at the end of the month, but as an all in one tool it’s very well thought out and sounds so good

Glad to see it on sale! Just a heads up regarding the artist packs, always demo first as some are full of outboard gear in the promo video and then the pack is nothing but friggin’ plug-in chains 😤.
I’m going to trace my Sta Level soon and another surprise that I’ll add to the trace exchange 👍🏻. I already have a bunch of stuff up there(Red 3, RS124, Bluey, etc..). Just search “Seawell Studios” in the trace exchange and have at it! 😁

So for this to work the way I'm assuming it does, like to have access to seawell traces, for instance, you'd have to buy BOTH the core ToneHub plugin AND the Tracer Add-on? Am I understanding this rightly?

I was really hoping to avoid buying it so I was just pretending like it didn’t exist lol. seawell - anyone (besides yourself, of course) you thought has a great collection? Most of what I use is from the trace exchange which is great because those are all free. From my own traces, it's awesome to have stereo and/or multiple instances of my mono compressors for example. They don't sound 100% like the hardware, but I think they sound better than other plug-ins. It's pretty darn close and very useful. The artist packs have been pretty disappointing to be honest. No offense to anyone but if I want a chain with Fab Filter and Waves I'll just use the plug ins instead of a trace of them. I guess it may be interesting to someone if they are just starting out and are trying to get an idea of what so and so does, I get it from that standpoint. I just got disappointed over time seeing a bunch of cool outboard in the promo videos only to find very little to none of it actually being in the artist pack. I am going to demo the Howard Benson/Mike Plotnikoff pack as it sounds like they have taken the time to trace all their outboard and their Neve Console:

So I'm still not seeing a sale price on this. Am I missing something? Been checking a couple times each day, but the prices are the same over here.

Idk. I’d have to lay out $200 to get tone hub, tracer/exchange, and Reid Shippen profile…I haven’t really dug into this a ton, but like I mentioned - that bass preset (Cl-1b, Magic DE and sans amp or something like that…is doing something I can’t seem to quite get to with anything I’ve got. So I might just stick with the $15 a month for the whole kit and caboodle. And be able to quit anytime I want.

Thanks, John. I swear those prices weren't showing up for me until I used your link. Weird. But yeah, even at 50% off, I might not be able to justify this expense. So many other things I need right now.

Just looking through Shippen's pack, it looks like his traces are of plugin chains, not the hardware. (You may have already known that, but just in case...) I'm seeing the UAD CL-1b (which is actually Softube), the DDMF MagicDeathEye, SansAmp plugin, PSP Vintage Warmer, UAD API 550A, UAD Pultec. No hardware in sight. (Not saying that's a bad thing, necessarily, just wanted to point it out.)
