I’m tempted to reserve a spot but I’ve literally never used one of these or even the plug-in. Don’t feel like my compressor options are limited these days and my credit card bills are a little bananas these days so I may pass on this one. Also if I’m dropping another $1k it would prob be on a second tube 87 from stam

I'd love to have one of these, I bet it's really good. Medical issues and bills are getting in the way of my music work right now.

I went ahead and reserved one I've never used a cl1b but interested to see if this beats out my Tree Audio Lc/1(inward connections brute) for tracking vocals

So I just put in a deposit. Admittedly, I may back out before the bill comes due but my FOMO got the better of me. Also was just thinking how I’ve never even considered reselling anything I’ve bought from Stam
Hoping that % off for previous orders might get put to use for this also.

As I'm Swedish and Josh has used "Swedish-made Lundahl output transformers" it will be an order. I strongly believe in this one!

Are all the knobs switches ?

Are all the knobs switches ? This is a very curious question, since on the original, the only switches are for • Side chain - off, 1 or 2 (side chain busses are for interconnectivity, only) • Attack - manual, fixed or both • Meter - input, output or gain reduction • Power switch • Bypass The rest of the controls are variable pots. Unless they've changed things!

Just so everyone here knows, Joshua and I really are friends. He's been a great support over many years. We've shared laughs, hard times and great pizza!
Any Stam product I've used has been truly well made and lived up to the promise of getting real deal gear at a seriously fair price for what it is.
If something isn't good, I would never support it online. My reputation is worth more than any one piece of gear.
I mixed a recording at a studio here in Nashville that had every great compressor you could name. The Cl1b just happened to be the best fit for me. It grabbed fairly hard, but then the vocal sat in the track like glue.
I'll be thrilled to have that type of sound for my work. My medical bills are past $200, 000 now and there's more to go. I'm responsible for 20% of that. I'm grateful I have anything left at all. I just sold my beautiful 25 year old Martin CEO 000, but I still want to get some basic hardware going instead of being 100% in the box.
