I was trying out some different room verbs for “glue” on a project I’ve been working on, and the one I ended up settling on was an older Waves IR of the 480 Jazz RHall. That got me thinking and a couple days later I finally installed the 480 Fusion IRs in Reverberate 3. Dropped “A Plate” on a Reverb send for a dry female vocal, and it sounded just like an über expensive vocal from the 90s without any additional tweaking. Gorgeous.
I know a lot of people have moved on to the Bricasti for such duties, but for those of you who were or are still 480/LX480/Etc users, what were your go-to programs on the 480 and how did you use them/what sonic purpose did you use them for? I know Martin John Butler talked about using it for widening situations, for example, and that Dr. Bill talked about having one for a long time.

Large Wood Room is great for all sorts of stuff. You gotta get in there and tweak a bit but it sounds great on the real thing and the UAD version.

Large wood room for general room purposes. Tiled room is good too.
Most any hall for the Lexi thing.
Parking garage for big n wild.
Buckrams for automatic 80s.
EDIT: auto park, not parking garage 😂

Yep Large Hall normal or Random Hall versions are great, so are the A Plate and Fat Plate programs. Auto Park for cavernous space.
I use the Relab emulation which is great because: 1. It sounds right 2. Has 2 machines in one instance
The latter is great because you can add Dual Delays into any reverb space, or follow your Large Room or Hall programs with Panorama. This program can do some MS widening that really spreads out the low mids and otherwise fine-tune the image.

I like predelayed A-Plate for vocals, large Wood room with a bit shorter time than the default, Autopark and Halls for, well, bigger spaces.
