Shure really likes to charge for their shock mounts....$160 for a KSM style mount.... just picked up an SM27 (newer KSM27) for much less than shure wants forvthe mount....
Any suggestions for a compatible reasonably priced alternative?

That is much cheaper than I have seen - that would obviously work but a 3rd party basket that has proper threading would be ok too.

Gator has this Rycote knock-off - I've seen it with some mics before too. They actually work pretty well (and hold tightly) if your mic is the right width. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GFWMICSM1855not sure how well it works if the mic is not a typical cylinder shape.
