I thought it would be interesting to make a thread to share IRs that I’ve made of my guitar cabs. They are 48kHz and MPT (blendable without phase issues with other MPT IRs).

I started shooting IRs of my cabs several years back, so I could have a sort of reference library, and to access to the sound of my own gear when I play silently through IRs.
I am just a hobbyist recorder. The power amp (Behringer A800) and conversion (Steinberg UR824) I used may not be up to snuff. But I figured someone might find these files useful or enlightening. They aren’t as good as the commercial stuff, but I sometimes prefer the way my own IRs fit into my mixes better.
I ended up settling on using my Chameleon Labs 7603 preamp on these IRs, switching to the lower 300 ohm impedance on certain dynamics like the SM57.
While sifting through RGO threads over the years, I found out about many of the mics that I used. Some might not really be suitable for guitar cab, but I went ahead and took them down as reference.
I’ve already shot a bunch of my other speakers (Celestion CL80, Jensen P10R, Weber 12A125A, Weber Blue Dog, Weber Silver Bell, and some others). I wanted to catalog some more mics or sort through them, and will share in the future.
The Greenback and G12H75 IRs were chosen by auditioning Marshall Superlead-type amps and sims. I think they ended up working well with all sorts of lower gain amps. The Vintage 30 IRs are meant to work with a broader range of amps, in the high gain territory. I picked the brightest positions to work with thick high gain amp sims like Rectos and VH4s. The darker IRs were selected by playing through brighter amp sims like JCM800s and SLOs.
