Had a UREI T4B shit the bed... other than springing mucho dinero for a NOS one, anyone have other recommendations? UA? Kenetek? Kenetek rebuild?

Fast shipping and good customer service. Haven’t fired them up yet, but hard to see why they wouldn’t be worth considering. |

I also bought some Kenetek T4Bs of various speeds (nice slow, nice fast, darn near stupid fast) to go with the classic speed I already had. It's been an enlightening experience comparing them. Highly recommended, especially given that the price point isn't terribly high and so is amenable to purchasing a couple of different types. Bill was very helpful with information and advice. Great communication and fast delivery.

Kenetek is as good as it gets, honestly, better than it gets. Nobody makes a better one. And so many options available! and Bill is a prince to deal with.

I own a few original UREI T4B's and Kenetek's are as close as it gets. You can't go wrong with Bill Jones. Plus he is one of the nicest people in the business.

How did you order your Kenetek T4B units? I tried using the gearslut.com store: it succeeded in taking my money but I get no response to email questions, no shipping info., etc.
The webpage looks ancient, wondering if I should have ordered elsewhere. I see them on Reverb and eBay too.
Basically, I bought a non-functioning Sa3a (the Shadow Audio, now Serpent Audio) that someone soldered up but never debugged, it’s got the BLA opto cell: I want to compare the two in the circuit.
Any suggestions?

Yea, probably should have used eBay or Reverb…was trying to improve margins for them on my sale by avoiding their fees from those sites, thought I was going direct. Still crossing my fingers it’ll show up sometime; I still paid the same ~$100 plus shipping

Thanks Ward!
I tried contacting him through his Ebay store and that worked, he responded yesterday from that same gmail account - the GearSlut store still works but it's not streamlined and something went wrong with the system, he wasn't aware of my T4B order until he received the Ebay communication. The good news is that he'll ship it early this week.
Appreciate the help.
