I didn't need it, but just got Pro-Q3 for $109. Seems like a very low price. Pro-Q3 SaleIf you use this code, you get the extra $10 off: LOYAL10-SD2ENWVP I normally use Crave and Kirchoff for my standard digital EQ but the price was right.

The ergonomics of that plugin should be studied at the Smithsonian.

Aren’t all ff 30% off ? Remember it’s cumulative discounts based on what you own!

I don't own any FF stuff. This is my first, so 30% off plus another $10 off made it worth buying. I'm very partial to Crave EQ but Pro-Q3 does have a dynamics section, like Kirchoff, but simplified.

It’s worth it to get all their plugins… Their limiter is all I use now, their gate can be great, Saturn is just phenomenal, reverb is super weird but can do some really unique stuff. Just get it all. The EQ is probably their best thing though.

It's not so much that's it's doing anything new or revolutionary that other plugins can do, it's their layout and interface/ease of use that sells it. Being able to quickly solo a band easily to hone in on trouble areas, and easily compressing some mids or expanding your top end just a little bit is a game changer. I've joked with myself about doing one of those click bait-ey videos on "The One Plugin You Need" or something and mixing a whole song with nothing but that plugin. I'm sure there's some way to route things around in there and make a delay or reverb if I had to . You could almost mix a whole song with just their EQ.

I love their stuff but my Pro Tools wants the serials every time I open a session which becomes tedious quickly.

That’s odd, are they recognized in your plug in folder?

The Weiss EQ1 and EQ MP sound so much better to me.

I have Pro Q3 - it's a very useful Swiss army knife EQ.
The best sounding digital EQ I own is the DMG Equilibrium - I call it analog digital EQ.

I remember when EQuilibrium came out and people where talking about it all the time. Now it seems like on one has mentioned it in forever until you. I seem to recall that it was quite complex, and shied away because of that. How's the UI?

I seem to recall that it was quite complex, and shied away because of that. How's the UI? terrible unless you spend an hour or three setting it up in advance how you want it when you can mix and match filters from a wide variety of eqs. It’s one of those eq plugins that tries to negate cramping by instead of prewarping the eq filters to make it closer to analog like Oxford eq or Fabfilter not in natural phase mode, warps it afterwards with a linear phase filter to try to get it back to what an analog filter would be. And in typical dmg audio fashion this is not done for you and you have to choose the filter taps and everything 😱 The argument for this over Just running the filters at a higher sample rate is less ringing than having to use two linear phase anti alias filters but unlike that, it can never match the ideal response. Other eqs like the new kush and DDMF grand eq use this. Running the eq at a higher sample rate is why Weiss, MDW, TDR and Fabfilter Natural phase don’t sound like crap. Also Pro Q3 natural phase without dynamics and the Weiss EQ MP only use one anti alias filter because since they’re linear processes, they don’t need to cut out the ghost images to process it at the higher sample rate, then down sample it again; they only need to downsample it. Of course now we have eqs with the numerical error of analog thanks to vadim zavalishin and Andrew simper but these tend to not have great guis. Reaktor, some of the Izotope EQs, EQ8 in Ableton, JS:ReEQ in Reaper, U-he Filterscape (how the hell do I use this?), etc. are more analog than expensive mastering eqs that are nothing but direct form biquads that are slowly blowing up. I seem to recall that it was quite complex, and shied away because of that. How's the UI? I find the GUI very easy to use - but then again I have a lot of experience with the plugin. I actually mostly just use it with text entry - no graphics at all. I've been at this game a very long time and have good ears - I know the frequencies I want to change by ear and experience so I just dial them directly in. If you use some of the longer impulse windows and commit some CPU to the plugin (I have a 13900K so I have lot's to spare) it sounds like fabulous solid state analog EQ! I've ABX tested it against my mega expensive Millennia EQ's and if it wasn't for the tube path of the Millennia I think I would of sold them after getting the DMG! I'll never buy another hardware solid state EQ - and definitely not another digital EQ! It's my go to top of the shop plugin EQ - it gets used in mastering too - when I use the max length impulse window and really commit some CPU cycles - it sounds stunning imho.

It just felt like too much time to get to the point.
