The API The Channel Strip not the new API TCS-II The Channel Strip can be had for £2749
Works out a lot cheaper than buying the modules individually…
Is anyone using one?
cheers

The studio I work out of has four. For me, I’ve decided API on electric guitar cabinets is the most perfect match, so that’s where I use them extensively nowadays; after years on trying them elsewhere too.

I had a pair and really liked them, even though I rarely used the compressor; the preamp and EQ were exactly what I wanted when replacing a pair of 512's. I used these for tracking for about two years before ultimately streamlining to a first generation Silver Bullet.

No, but I have all the pieces individually? Well, my "527" is a 2500, but they are very close. You can't go wrong... The pre sounds good to great on just about any source, other than maybe vocals. Its fiiiiiiine in that application. EQ is great and versatile, compressor is snappy. I like it most on kick, snare, and piano.
