8 budget “Neve” like pre amps …. what’s not to like. Perfect for any project studio. I’d prefer 8 channels of BAE but that’s a very big price difference! As long as the build quality and reliability and more importantly the serviceability is up to a decent standard this looks like a very good product. Are Heritage well built and reliable?

Over the years I've had a DM73 and a TT73. Both nice sounding units and well built. My TT73 had an issue when I bought it used, It got a bit roughed up during shipping. I contacted Heritage by email and Peter Rodriguez got back to me in 13 minutes...I ended up being able to repair it myself as it was just a connector that came loose during shipping.

I’ve been curious about this piece as well. I’d love to hear it next to an AMS or BAE unit.

Heritage has made some great pres. I am curious how good the A/D converters are.

Yeah, i could easily go for the concept for a drum rig. But how does it stands against neve 1073opx? They are price wise pretty similar right?

OPX is $4400 vs the Heritage for $4k, but the Heritage has input and output transformers vs only input on the OPX. Does that matter? Maybe. Maybe not. If the Heritage had D/A too, I probably would've bought it already. Still considering it for an upgrade in the future.

I have an early 8 way Heritage rack and a Bae 1084 rack and the Heritage always sounds more like my vintage Neves. So I imagine they’re pretty good. I love Phoenix Audio more now though so I’d go for their 8 way which is good value.

Heritage also has a 500 series rack that has ADAT in/out and even without modules works as an ADAT Interface. Then add the Heritage modules (or others) as you need or can afford them. That's my plan eventually, but right now fine with one money channel and the rest through a Scarlett 18i20 3rd gen

The design is really something.
