Demo video sounds pretty good.
I would probably go for this, but I have been absolutely in love with the new Klanghelm TENS, which does the AKG spring sounds. Those AKGs are really special, for me they are "real reverbs" and not "character effects".

Love and use TENS but just picked up Primavera anyway, they are significantly different sounding. TENS is so smooth and not overly springy, it's usable all over the place. Primavera can be subtle, but it has a more pronounced springiness, and you can really crank up the chirps and boings with the excitation control, and it does that effect incredibly well. They also both have great saturation sections, which again sound very different. Absolutely loving the saturation section on Primavera, very organic.

I want to love them but they just don’t sound like a Master Room or a Tall Bird etc. I’m still sworn to hardware.

I love a good spring so it's been nice to see a few good ones in plug form over the last while. I really like the Fuse 305 for dark sproingless, almost plate-like spring verb, the new Fuse 63 for ampy springyness, and the Klanghelm TENS for in-between.
I can't see needing another one at this point unless it's miles better but that's likely getting into hardware land.

Best springs I’ve heard are in the AxeFX…

I thought the examples they provided were really too wet for my taste, thus it didn't turn me on much. I just bought the Fuse Surf Spring Reverb, which was a great deal for the sound, but I welcome more types of spring verbs on the plugin scene.
There are ones out there that are really not impressive, so the boingy sounding springs must be hard to do digitally.

if i want a sboingy spring reverb, i use logic‘s guitar pedal spring reverb. sounds great and comes with different settings as boutique, dark, vintage … a more reverby sounding one is the ik multimedia sunset studio sound one. all i need.

It seems like spring reverbs are everywhere all of a sudden. Certainly no shortage of options.
Cheers, Geoff

I dig a '60s style tube reverb tank, but other than that, I don't get the craze.

I don't have a lot of real world spring experience except for the AKG BX20. I like it a lot though it wasn't for everything so can't say I was dying to have good spring plugins. I did get the Fuse 305 plug and use it a lot but it's not stereotypically springy. Can't vouch for the hardware or other plug versions but I find it sits in a mix really well. Dark and kind of plate-ish.
