I'm a pretty huge drum gate nerd, so maybe my enthusiasm for this thing is gonna be bigger than most normal folks', but man, this Remuse Kit app is pretty groovy. remuse.onlineSpent some time on the demo today, and managed to wrangle some really solid tones from a not-so-solid recording, without having to resort to samples. The app seems to do a good job preserving phase, so you can blend the 'de-bleeded' tracks back in with the raw signal, which I'm finding really useful for tricky things like brightening up and compression a snare with a lot of hats spill. Just apply the processing to the de-bleeded version, and blend it in alongside the raw track, and bobs yer uncle. Also having some fun taking a similar approach for things like distortion and transient shaping. This really opens up a pretty cool world, and, at least on the material I was trying it out on, the side effects are far outweighed by the gains.

Fuse has a similar sounding plugin. No personal experience, I just know that it exists.
Cheers, Geoff
