Has anybody ever used those Primacoustic tripad isolator things? The little pads that go underneath each leg of a mic stand where it comes in contact with the floor? If so, did they help much? I noticed them being used under the one mic in that Cole Panther OneMic video that ironinthepath has posted a couple times, and am really curious if they help. In my current space, if I'm playing acoustic guitar, I can't tap my foot at all without the vibrations traveling up and into the mic. Doesn't matter what kind of shockmount the mic is in - nothing seems to stop it.

Good question! (And observation) I’ve not tried them.

What nobody who makes these or those who use them will ever say Mark is this : the effectiveness completely depends on the problem frequency, sorry but you won’t pay for nor is a broadband isolation device practical.

They could help with a really heavy microphone that would be hard to shock mount.

I've used one on a kick mic stand that was causing some weirdness. I didn't own it and it was just something found in the room. I thought it helped at the time.
