Hey All. Here's a couple of quick and dirty samples comparing the O.P.R Plan 6 ULTRA to an O.G 1960's 67
Files are labeled 1-2 I won't reveal which is which just yet, if ever. LOL! The samples were recorded dry with a basic interface preamp so there's no additional color
There's also a micro song recorded with both mics labeled 1-2 indicating the mic used on the track. No EQ was used only a bit of reverb,delay, and compression please excuse the singers wobbly voice! no auto-tune used lol!  and the raw nature of this recording.
I'll get some better samples going down the track but for now this should give you a good indication of the sound in reference to the OG.

... Hi Mark, we've not but a couple days left now until your pre-order ends! I got a question- In these examples what is the S2 jumper set to for the vintage U67 versus your Plan 6 Ultra? Are they both set to S2 open (extended bass, no LF rolloff), or closed, or are they each at different S2 jumper settings? Thanks! Matt |

Hey Matt,
Ooops!I Just checked my mics and and S2 was indeed open on one of the mics in error... lol! That's why one is a bit bigger in the lows and a hair darker sounding.
I'll have to make some more samples at some point. but flat out building at the moment.
Yes one day to go as the special offer closes tomorrow!
