Used to have a bunch of really cool preamps. Covid and a baby kind of slowed down my recording so I ended up clearing house and just using the pres in my Lynx. Just did a song for a someone and experimented using a DBX 286s that I talked about in another thread. It was cool, but now that the song is done, I’m finding it kind of meh overall. So I’ve been tossing around the idea of getting one really good pre since I only ever really record one thing at a time. I wasn’t sure whether I wanted a 1073 variant, or something tube. Tube wise I was kind of torn between the Redd and a Weight Tank 72. Wanted something that could be a little more aggressive if I wanted so I just ordered the Redd! Not much else to say here, just super excited and wanted to share!

I am glad that you are firing things back up. I have always enjoyed the recordings that you have shared and look forward to hearing what you are up too.

I am glad that you are firing things back up. I have always enjoyed the recordings that you have shared and look forward to hearing what you are up too. Thanks so much! Really appreciate that. I’ve done a bunch of mixing/mastering for people, as well as some remote trumpet recordings, but producing this track has really reignited my need to record original music.
