Still love the RuleTec. I have the UAD now again and I think I might like the RuleTec better. Haven’t done any meticulous comparisons.

Still love the RuleTec. I have the UAD now again and I think I might like the RuleTec better. Haven’t done any meticulous comparisons. Couple of months ago I tried the RT demo and really compared it to the UAD...and I preferred the Rule Tec with the oversampling on....but I didn't buy because they weren't on sale and the UAD was pretty close (for the amount I use Pultecs)... But I hadn't seen any of the other plugs. Gonna have to try out one of the consoles. Oh! And that Stereo Widener looks awesome.

That's it! I'm getting their mini "Variety Pack" Plug... "Vocal Finalizer". After work tonight. The new $29 Toy. Thanks John! Chris

The eq’s are all excellent.
I use the 533, 84 console, and Backs regularly.
The Need preamps are very good too, though you probably already have 30 Neve plugins like the rest of us.

I agree and like their preamp emulations also. While there are other 73/84 type preamp plugs out there, NA does have their own flavor take on it that's good,......But I don't think I remember anyone else having a Neve 31102 preamp in a plug out there like Noise Ash does and it is my favorite out of the bunch.

I forgot about UA since I'm native only with no UA/Apollo hardware I'd need for the UA 31102 plug.

That's right, I guess I should have said Native. I forgot about UA since I'm native only with no UA/Apollo hardware I'd need for the UA 31102 plug. Apparently, the EQ on the Neve 1084 is essentially the 31102. All the points on it are the same. I just think the preamp on the 1084 was a bit different sounding than the 31102. A bit cleaner.

I don’t think the UAD 31102 has any non linearity/saturation modeled.

My understanding is the 31102/1084 are close but also have different transformers in some cases (Belclere and Marinair), effecting the sonics.
