So, they tell you you don’t have to accept their policy changes and all you have to do is read a 75 page document .
Given the falling arc of UA customer service client focus over the last few years, makes me very suspicious.
Why, instead: did it not specify what the changes are and their significance.
Goods news is its multilingual, English is 17 pages, there is a lot of detail but essentially it is grabbing a lot of personal data and sharing not selling it to other parties.
Document states we consent to this but I guess you could say coerced as we have to accept the EULA to play? Reading between the lines, sounds like it is using UA connect to sort of spy on what you are doing with UA products .

If you have a smart phone and use google the powers that be already have every piece of information they want about you. Seriously not something to worry about.
Unless you want to live in the woods cut off from society there is absolutely no way around this.

I understand, and that all (most)? companies have these kind of disclaimers all intended to say pretty things about your rights, while the real intent is to protect the company legally as it tries to do whatever it wants.

We all know this is going on, but it doesn't make it any less sucky. It really points towards management and what they value. Not all companies do this.....

That’s what struck me.
The topic of inequities in how UA’s policies do or don’t compromise people’s rights in their countries comes up regularly at UA forum.

Pretty obvious they were militantly moving in this direction when I started having issues every time I lost my internet connection (which happens often out here in the boonies of Arkansas). They want tabs on what you’re doing all the time. Only time will tell if this results in better products for us, I’m skeptical and starting to get concerned. The idea of going anywhere “off the grid” to do music is getting more complicated and unpredictable.

I'm ok - I wear a tin foil hat when I'm using UA connect.
I'm too clever for them.
