I was going to trial the Mega bundle, but using the PA Install Manager, I can download, but it won't install because it keeps asking to install a helper tool. I've had this issue with several other pieces of software. I type in my PW and it just disappears and then pops back up...nothing happens. i.postimg.cc/3Jp7sM4s/Screenshot-2024-02-09-at-10-26-40-PM.png

Oh I think I might be able to install them separately from the site...but I'm not doing 180 of those...

I do all of mine individually, but I’m on licenses rather than the subscription plan so I don’t know if that carries over.

if you wanted to start with the ones you’re most interested in they’re all very quick installs, at least in my experience.

Maybe a security thing you have to manually OK in Preferences? I don't remember having to do it with the PA Installer app but the last few UAD updates I've had to do this (I'm in 12.6 Monterey). Try reinstalling their installer and see if it gives an option?

Yeah - it's got to be some security level I've got checked because I've had trouble with helper installation on three different softwares...

I do them all manually if needed (and I have quite a few). I tried their "installer" once, but it did not recognize any of the plugins I already had installed. If that has improved, I'd be interested to try it again, but otherwise no thanks. What good is an "installer" that can't tell you if there is an update available? oh I know, maybe it would work if I had uninstalled everything and re-installed through their installer, but again no thanks. I hate the Slate and Slate Digital "installers" too (at least Slate Digital still allows me to install individually, not the case with Steven Slate products... then again it knows if there is an update).

I believe you have to let it install the installation manager. You can download and install individually but it's not fun. I'm on windows and I usually right click on downloaded installers and check properties/unblock so it doesn't get snagged by firewall etc.

It's probably in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access. You have to give full disk access permission to each installer app to be able to download and install onto your system. That's my guess, at least.

Waves just all of a sudden started working and then I never was able to get Backblaze to work again. It worked for like two years and when I got this new computer - just stopped. Support was no help. Had to move to a different one.
