Just stumbled across this one in my plugs. I have the RX10 for restoring some old vinyls but never came across that I had the de esser I could use otherwise too. I was working on a vocal track yesterday and started using this as a plugin, not exporting to stand alone app. Seems to be a good tool. Any one using it and have experience with the classic vs spectral modes? Cannot find much on it online despite searching. Izotope gives a brief explanation but that’s all. The concept of the spectral de essing speaks to me as it seem to be a very transparent way to go, but would be keen to hear how others have experienced it.

So far I've always turned it back off in favor of the native DP de-esser, whatever that's worth. Don't think it beats my dbx 902's either.

Or my 4038. Plus nothing else quite makes my Waffles like it. Chris

I've tried it numerous times and it never seems to win out over other options here.
I have no idea about the differences.
