Im still using my Kurzweil Rumour for plates/small halls. Cheers, Geoff Edit. Oops. Not a plug-in.
Do you have any favorite patches? Some of them are a bit metallic and bright. Do you use the lowpass filters?

first thing I do is turn off the "sys noise". I never like modeled noise. if I want noise, I'll use real hardware lol. Sometimes I've had to open the panel and increase the input and sometimes the output gain to get decent levels when I use it on an aux send. it just seems to be lower level than some other verbs I use. Good to know. What sources do you like it on? "like" is so subjective... I've definitely tried it on a variety of things, like drums, guitars, even vocals. I've definitely kept it in mixes too but can't recall the details... it's certainly not a goto for me, but more of one I've tried when maybe the goto wasn't working, or I was just looking for something different. btw, just used Hitsville yesterday for a tambourine track. Nothing else sounded right and Hitsville sounded perfect (after some tweaking from a preset)

Right now I am in a rediscovery of the Rumour, so lots of futzing around at the moment. The last thing I used it on was a delay/plate preset that I messed around with a bit. Yeah I use the filters. I havent gotten around to a/b ing with my software plates yet. Maybe the Rumour stays, maybe it doesnt. Cheers, Geoff

Lemme know if you find something cool for the 224. I almost never keep it on when I'm trying things for mixes. first thing I do is turn off the "sys noise". I never like modeled noise. if I want noise, I'll use real hardware lol. Sometimes I've had to open the panel and increase the input and sometimes the output gain to get decent levels when I use it on an aux send. it just seems to be lower level than some other verbs I use. I just tried turning off the noise for the first time in a clean production. I usually leave it on for authenticity but in this case the noiseless version was a better fit.

modeled noise is like "relic'd" guitars... Only more annoying.
