Ventura and Monterey Users: Beware Unwanted Sonoma Upgrades

It’s late and I’m exhausted so I can’t type much but this bug just got me bad. I restarted my MacBook pro happily running Ventura and all my non-Sonoma ready software. The reboot took forever and I was greeted with an unwanted automatic upgrade to MacOS Sonoma. The kicker is that w/o a TimeMachine backup, there is no downgrade path for Apple Silicon Macs. I don’t use TM on this machine because I have a completely separate cloud backup solution in place that makes TM redundant. Yes, my settings were set to not do automatic OS upgrades. This is totally unacceptable and a MAJOR bug.
