Anyone one interested in the new Type 21 from Heirserman? I think I could I be. Wonder what it costs? And I wonder if this is another 2 x year waiting time type product? Attachments:

After your info I found a post from a couple years ago from Heiserman indicating that he'd make a "Type-19" with any of his capsules except the M7 (for mounting reasons). So it sounds like there were enough requests for a Type-19 with a CK12 that it became a Type-21? I'm definitely interested since it sounds like it will be very capsule-centric with no tube or output transformer. However I just recently picked up a NLP ELAM with a CK12 (darker European one) and a pair of OC18s (fairly bright CKR12 ceramic capsule). So I need to settle in with these and learn them for a bit before i run amok and get another CK12-esque capsule mic. Hopefully by the time I've grown into these Heiserman will have them on the website and I'll pop in to get one. I'd love to hear a Type-19 vs a Type-21 shootout! :-)

It’s killer. Everyone should have a pair of those and a pair of the type 19s.
Not a huge fan of transformer-less mic designs but Wave Dealer really knocked both of them out of the park. ‘Stunning’ is the word id use.
Less crap in the path etc.

I have 3 x Type 19's and 2 x H47Ts I'm curious for the Type 21 - Heiserman capsules never disappoint.
The type 19 is great - I have one now married to my outside kick, as it beats everything else. The transient response is amazing.

Fantastic.. have been waiting on the release of the type 21 for a few years. Their 19 is killer.

Please tell me that there isn't an LED in the mic. In the description I was reading online it sounds like the LED is part of the signal and circuitry. I didn't dig in deeper and it didn't describe and more depth. It was puzzling though.

I have no clue if this is what Heiserman has implemented, but it is quite common to make a constant current course with an LED being used as part of the bias network with a BJT (so it can act as double-duty, a power indicator and bias aid). There is a description in this webpage, just as an example (I have no affiliation): nathaliebeimler.com/tech/audio_amplifier_current_source_comparison.html

Just the rabbit hole I was looking for :-) The summary is approachable but it gets pretty deep quick.

Anyone know the price these will go for? 1499 USD if Dave's correct in the PLAP NAMM video. I was hoping it would be a bit closer to the Type 19, which might also be getting a price increase (also mentioned in the video).
