It will be a bit, but I’ll have some stuff headed this way for review.

I love everything they do. I do too, except their naming practices. Wasn't the actual 013 FET previously called the 011 FET? And what's up with the new 011 FET, it's now a different product? 1 product = 1 name. Is that too much to ask? Why reuse previous names? Why change the name of products?

I’d say the logic goes as follows….. 011 was originally the tube sdc. Then came 013 which comes in tube and fet. Now comes 011FET, a transformer-less smaller sdc. I don’t recall if there was a tubeless sdc during the original 011 era? So it kinda (ish) follows their logic in the same manner as 017 and 017FET, two variations within the same realm. EDIT: they have actually a time line on their site on the page for their upcoming gear, and yes, the original 011 was tube only and 013 introduced the fet variant. Anyhow, awesome gear!!!

Does it? The 017 FET was at one point called the SU-019.

How is the new FET different from the 13 I have now?

I love all three of my Soyuz mics, but yeah, the naming has gotten confusing. And I wish they’d rename the Bomblet in light of world events.

I really like my 3 Soyuz and would love to try some of these new models, but after an intern damaged a shock mount, I've been trying buy a new one from them for 5 months to no avail. Makes me a little bit anxious about getting support/parts if a more serious issue arose.

Nothing against the Soyuz shockmounts, but if you're having issues getting one... Vanguard Audio has the best shockmounts out there right now, I've got my Bomblets in the Vanguard shockmounts.

I ordered the new pair of transformerless SDCs (011s). Probably going to keep them as left/right overheads so I can use my 013s elsewhere.
It's funny. The Bomblet is the only mic they make that I didn't connect with.

Bomblets are a bit darker and mellow, reminds me a lot of a processed ribbon mic at times. Right up my alley, but I understand why a lot of people don’t like them as much. It’s been hard for me to use anything else on acoustic instruments the last year or so when I’m going for a warm, colored folky sound.

I preferred my Bomblet over the 17 fet as well. other then thinking the Bomblet was way overpriced for what it was (as well as the 17fet , it was a nice enough mic. But alas all my Soyuz's collection is gone and I wont be coming back to them.
