I thought you guys might enjoy seeing this. A studio guy I've hung out with over the years, Ashely Shepard, now works with the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestra. Here in this video he's overviewing the mics used across the stage.
This was a recent Pops holiday concert with a guest band performing. They were using mics for live PA in the hall, live video streaming of the concert, and a concert recording to be mixed later for CD release. They don't normally do so many things at once.
I think they use DigiCo consoles for mixing the performance in the concert. He just bought a Merging Hapi interface with both AES and MADI cards, and has networked audio for all the recording. Something like 90 inputs into Nuendo.
Ashley used to work Steinberg as a Nuendo trainer and he'd fly all the world for training seminars. He also has done a lot of work internationaly with DAD and Dynaudio. He took this FOH CSO job I think so he work at home more.
