A search turned up very little here. If you've used either mic, what did you learn?

I’ve actually got a C-100 for sale in the classifieds.
It is an excellent vocal mic. It brings things forward in a compelling way. Definitely one to have if you’re doing modern pop or hip hop.
I found it cool on some acoustic instruments as well, but I don’t care for it on drums/percussion or amps. I wouldn’t recommend it as a workhorse.
I’m selling it as I bought a bunch of mics over a short period, and it’s not an essential sound for most of what I work on, which is mostly more left-of-center pop and rock stuff.

I like the C-100 for certain vox but I actually prefer the C-80. I demo'd one and it's on my list to buy, absolutely great sounding modern microphone that in the right chain does wonders in a pop or modern rock scenario. Sony seems to make world class mic's for next to nothing (excluding the C800 of course).
