Anybody have/like these.
I suppose Im somewhat interested in the Marshall bundle.
Having said that, I haven’t met an amp sim I’ve been completely satisfied with. Maybe I’m just not getting them loud enough, missing that feeling of moving air. I dunno.
on sale ending today.
Cheers, Geoff

Of all the amp sims I've tried, the Softube and UAD ones are the least real-sounding. I don't understand how they can make decent hardware emulations, yet fail at making an amp sim.
My comment does not apply to the UAFX pedals, because I have not tried them.

Maybe they have improved but the earlier ones were unusable for me.

Ok. Ive always wanted a Marshall. Never was really in the right place at the right time in terms of funds, a place to play one and gigging all coinciding. Any decent Marshall amp sims out there?
Cheers, Geoff

I will preceed this as I always do by saying that guitar is not my first or even second instrument, but I like Amplitube 5 a lot. I have the Max version. There's a whole bunch of Marshall models in there, with pretty much anything else you could think of, and it sounds even better with something like sweetening from York IRs.

I use them now for practicing and arrangement demos and now only use my tube amps (Tone King and Princeton) for recording (saves on tube and noise!) I hope Neural do a Fender Princeton 68 Custom in the same way they have done the TK. They're very clever programmers!

I’m an Amplitube 5 fan too, I do mostly cleanish guitars and it feels the best of what I’ve tried. Plus I’ve made a ton of presets over the years simulating my real chains and in general know how to get around it. However, all the amp sim threads lately have me wondering if I should try Neural DSP and some of the other newer offerings in the new year. To bring it back to topic I also didn’t get along with the Softube amps. For bass I’m all about the Ampeg SVT suite.
