I have the Toneking Imperial and it's as good as anything on my Axefx...which is usually not the case with plugs. Well, same for the Morgans. Really, really great sounding. Might be redundant with the Axe, but man, they all sound great. neuraldsp.com/plugins/morgan-amps-suite

Just tried it and it is really good! In a mix I am not sure I could tell it was a plug...

Sounds good in that promo video. I’ll give it a try when back in the studio.

I’ve never played a real one…but the one in the Axe is one of my favorites…and these two sound really similar.

I keep hearing about Neural so as I have a Tone King Imperial MK2 Amp and 1x12 TK matching cab sat next to me now I've downloaded their emulation to make a direct comparison. £99 plugin vs £3200 amp/cab Not bad actually, not really got the spanky 65 mids and Tweed power tube distortion thing going on, but for £99 pretty fun. I think I prefer my S Gear amp emulation. But overall, pretty good. As ever, with all amp emulations, it's the bronzed super clear mids that are never quite there to my ear, they never bite and spank .... ... please Chris, it's Xmas, no bad puns give me a break for the hols

Ha- ha .... John you beat me to it. I was returning to make an edit and say, I'm listening to them through different means - as you point out. The amp though the TK 1x12 and the plug through the ATC 25's - I still don't think it has the 65 Blackface "spank" exactly like the amp but it is very good - defiantly the 90% mark - as ever the last 10% is the expensive bit to have! I need to record the cab with an AEA R92 and 57 (my usual method) and then it would be fair - not going to happen this week as it's family time. Neural have the touch pretty close - I'm impressed. The weakest part is the Lead Channel - on the amp I get the Marshall to Tweed tone by driving the power tubes and reducing the volume with the built in Ironman II attenuator - the plugin doesn't seem to get that tone right in a more fundamental way. But for £99 - I have to say it is very impressive programming. EDIT. It's growing on me - I think I might buy this plugin for practicing - I prefer it to my Boss Katana MK2 for living room practice. The touch is really very good and surprisingly closer to the amp (latency allowing)

Tempting... I already have the tone king plus some of their other metal amps.
The thing i like about NeuralDSP is you can't really make them sound bad per se. Very good for just pulling up and jamming or recording. With Helix/Axefx or most other hardware/software i spend way to much time tweaking. (Kemper was similar but they was probably due to the profiled nature.)
