Is it new? Did it ever work? Is there any kind of factory reset procedure in the manual?

Is it new? Did it ever work? Is there any kind of factory reset procedure in the manual? I've had it for a year or so. Used to work great. I've done all the factory resets and all that stuff. In the link they have this as a "known issue" that is supposedly going to be fixed with a firmware update but they claim that factory resetting it will fix it temporarily. Not so in my case.

Did you ever manage to resolve the issue? I’m all of a sudden facing the same problem. Tried to reset the pedal more than ten times. No success. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Actually I didn't. Followed all the suggestions from UA support. Last communication was that they would refer me to the "correct service option" and needed a sales receipt for warranty information. I was already out of warranty so I kind of got demoralized and now it's just collecting dust. I guess I probably should follow through on that but the idea of packing up a pedal, shipping it to be serviced, and then getting charged hundreds of dollars for the service is unappealing.
If you learn anything more than I did, share it please!

I hate to be the guy that says "I'll never buy this product again!" but I must say... this has really turned me off on the "computer in a pedal" type of effects.

I'm afraid I just drew the same conclusion as you. I approached Customer Support and they referred me to my "local dealer". I purchased the pedal second hand and it worked fine for a year but now I'm facing the problems you described: nice effect pedal that does no longer do effects. The customer support is - to put it politely - underwhelming. And I expect premium pedals with this price tag to be reliable. They are not. I still own three more UAFX pedals but will sell them all. It does not make sense to keep them when I know that I'm left to my own devices as soon as a problem appears and there is no longer warranty.

In the UK - you can't get away with the old "12 month warranty" thing.
Electronic items have to be fit for purpose for 6 years!
Even Apple have it in their small print if you dig deep enough on the UK site that their 12 month warranty is usurped by UK consumer law (well actually was originally EU consumer law)
It's the reason ATC offer 6 years warranty on their monitors - they fully understand UK consumer law - and are more honest in their warranty length.
Companies try the old "oh sorry sir buy you're out of the 12 month warranty" but it doesn't wash with me, I've had a TV worth £800 replaced when I threatened small claims court - then the manufacturer folded and paid up.
I'm surprised the USA has less powerful consumer laws than the UK?
It's outrageous to make a £400 pedal that only lasts 15 months - that's BS.

Consumer laws in US basically come down to "buyer beware" at least when it comes to electronics.
