That can't be cheap..
Anyway, it's not a mic per se, they do their "Myrification" process to existing mics, so under that is a known mic design.

Y'all are killin me! The Myrinx mics are definitely super clean (as the Brauner you would expect) I'm not 100% clear on what the company does as far as tweaking the guts and/or capsule. Their website doesn't reveal that. We have them here from Kevin Becka at the Blackbird Academy. He got them on demo from the company. Having him here int he complex has been very cool, since he gets gear to review and then we have an opportunity to play with it at the same time.

No problem on kidding us but, think about it. We have: 9 studios, Blackbird Audio Rentals, The Blackbird Academy and the possibilities of some gear not always @ 100% so it's in sick bay in the tech dept. Do you guys actually rent out the fairchilds? Always wondered that. Also - I know you get ALL this equipment at your disposal when you book a room - but what are rates like these days? Are A D still the only tracking rooms?

Fairchilds are rentable - local only. 660 @ $125/day
670 @ $175/day
Rental rates - 1-3 days are charged at full rate - 4-7 days is a 4 day rate (4/day week) - 15-30 day rate, (15/day month) - Longer rental terms are available and negotiable depending on items and rental period. We are open for business at 9:00am-5:30pm (CST) weekdays unless prior times are scheduled. - Early open and after hour fees may apply. - Gotta say this for the people that wantt to get gear at ~2AM.
