Hi all,
I have perused the boards and didn't see anything within the last couple of years, so thought I would re-ask: does anyone in the US work on old Gefell tube mics? I have a whopping 6 m582s (LOL) and 2 need to be seen. Was planning on offloading the whole set, but may have to settle for just thr 4 that are working for now, while I sort the other two. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

We usually don’t do any service work, but I know those mics in and out, so wouldn’t mind to remember old good days)))

Gefell has always officially wanted you to go through your dealer and have them sent back to the factory, here is the thing, other than the Capsule and if it has one transformer their is nothing special in there. I don’t know of any mic tech who won’t work on them, I would see if if Dave Wheeler isn’t to busy.

The Mic Shop in Nashville (Franklin, TN to be more specific) is where I took my pair earlier this year. They overhauled them along with new PSU and cables. Decreased noise floor quite a bit. Highly recommend James over there, he gets all of our mics when they need anything!
